Parking in Runswick Bay

There are a number of places to park your car in Runswick Bay and our handy guide will help you when visiting the village.

There is a large Pay & Display car park in the lower village at Runswick Bay where daily charges apply. Overnight camping is not permitted in any of the car parks.
The car park machine takes coins or spaces can be paid for via the "RingGo" app. Download the app before you arrive and choose the correct car park location.

Parking charges do not apply from October to February in Runswick Bay (check signage).

All of our cottages provide parking permits either for the Residents Reserved Car Park or the Pay & Display car park with the booking apart from those at the top of the bank who have private offstreet parking outside their own properties. Please ensure you have the correct permit when staying in the lower village and that it is always on display.

There is no disabled parking or motorbike parking provision in Runswick Bay. Spaces are on a first come first served basis and can get very busy at peak times.

EV charging is available at the top of the village in the North Yorkshire Council Pay & Display car park at the very end of Runswick Lane opposite the Cliffemount Hotel.
