This lovely cottage is in a great location for visiting many wonderful local attractions, walking routes (the cottage is a stones throw from the Cleveland Way National Trail) and cycle networks (the Staithes to Lythe circular cycle route runs past the front door of Sandpiper Cottage).
Within walking distance is the local pub (The Runswick Bay Hotel) and a bit further, the quaint village of Hinderwell where you find a local butchers, pubs and a petrol station.
The cottage is within easy reach of Whitby, our nearest town with an abundance of shops, restaurants and attractions such as Whitby Abbey, the Captain Cook Memorial museum, Ghost walks, Jet workshops and steam train journeys.
Just 2 miles away is the charming village of Staithes, which boasts village art galleries and shops, tearooms, pubs, a small supermarket (Co-op) with ATM, fresh fish merchants and it's also possible to book chartered fishing trips / sunset cruises.

Runswick Bay is a quiet former fishing village with one cafe (open mid March to mid October) and two pubs available for meals. The village has a volunteer Rescue Boat service and RNLI Lifeguards patrol the beach from June to September. Barefoot Kayak offers paddleboard, kayak and wetsuit hire when tides allow in the warmer months.
