It's official! Yorkshire has more Michelin Star restaurants than anywhere outside of London.
Some of them are within easy reach of Runswick Bay either for a day trip / night out such as Andrew Pern's "The Star at Harome" only 40 minutes away (sadly due to a fire the Star is currently closed)(he also has a sister restaurant in Whitby The Star Inn the Harbour) or maybe build in a stop off on your way up to Runswick.
We love Michael O'Hare's - The Man Behind the Curtain. in the bustling city of Leeds. Originally from Redcar, Michael has joined the elite of 3 Michelin Stars - what an accolade! Book well ahead as demand for tables is huge.
Tommy Banks and his food boxes from The Black Swan at Oldstead kept us going through lockdown - Michelin quality food delivered to your door. The Black Swan at Oldstead is definitely worth a visit.
